I have started a new project where I photograph people while they sleep. I am fascinated by the idea that our surroundings turn into another world at night. A night can feel like an eternity or just a brief moment. Taking part in another person’s night gives me a chance to portray their universe in an intimate and unconscious way.
Andrea and I have spent the week participating in a workshop organized by the Norwegian Journal of Photography (NJP) and Fritt Ord. We have dived into the editing process under the guidance of Alex Webb (Magnum), Rebecca Norris Webb, Josh Lustig (Panos) and Kari Hesthamar (NRK). NJP´s 10 photographers are all working on personal projects, which will be presented together in a book.
