She Is: Part One
The six last weeks of my own pregnancy is captured in She Is; My body's transition from light and youthful to heavy and uncomfortable, the transition from child to parent, from an independent individual to a part of a larger community. Children become parents, parents become grandparents and grandparents, great grandparents. Roles and relationships in the family are redefined when a new family member enters. The pictures of my family and myself became a projection of my own thoughts about this new chapter in my life, where literary I have put them in an imaginary family album, where reality and fiction is intertwined.
