Through my ongoing project, Lost Stories, I am documenting the centralization of rural Norway and how it influences everyday life of the people living there. Fifteen years ago the rural village of Begnadalen was a thriving community. Today there is hardly any infrastructure left. The population has decreased, and jobs are hard to find.In this project I want to question how it is to live in a village struggling to keep its head above water. On the other side, I will search for the hope and spirit of the people that are working hard to keep the community running.
Andrine 7 years old is the first of five generations I will portray through this project.
